Unknown Desires is a documentary journey on the streets of different places and cultures, without an idea of what this project should be. The journey started in 2012. and it never ended.
Photography has a wide specter of expressing oneself. It is a kind of thing where you can find your own way of telling a story, sharing a feeling or just observing the world. As somebody who usually prefers to be inside as a participant, rather than the observer who is trying to be objective, I’ve been drowning in the world of the unknown. For me it’s the mystery of the people, places and cultures, being lost and at the same time being present in the moment. Being nobody in places you don’t know. Usually the context is unknown too.
And after some experience, there is a contradiction, the expectation of the unknown. Something you would like to happen, so all the time finding it wouldn’t seem meaningless. Is it still unknown if I thought about it first and then it happened?
Who knows…
