In 2019, after my mother passed away, my dear friend Lars asked me to be his guest for the Midsummer holiday at Brännö, Sweden. For what seems to be a religious celebration, it hasn’t much to do with it, or maybe I just didn’t feel it that way. It has much more to do with dancing, helping, hugging, caring… I knew that the Ekberg family was big, but I didn’t know at the time that it was the biggest one I’ve ever met. Regardless of the numbers, everybody was passionately caring about everyone, and everybody respected everyone. There was a huge amount of love and compassion. And I was treated the same way, as if I was one of the family members.
