Stefan Djordjevic was born in Bor, Eastern Serbia, in 1987. He was introduced to
film through the feature fiction film "Tilva Ros" by Nikola Lezaic, in which Stefan plays one of
the two leading roles. The film was nominated for the European Discovery Award by the European
Film Academy in 2010.
He has completed his BA and MA studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Camera
department. His graduation film was a short fiction film "A Handful of Stones", which was
screened at many international film festivals and had its international premiere at the ACID
programme of Cannes Film Festival.
The short fiction film “The Last Image of Father“, directed by Stefan, was awarded at many film
festivals: Locarno Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival…
His latest short documentary film "Portrait of a Dying Giant” was a part of the Serbian
pavilion at Venice Biennale of Architecture.
Stefan has had two solo photography exhibitions in Belgrade, and one together with his brother
Boško. “A Diary of Mom” is a photography ode to the life and death of their mother. Stefan is
exploring and developing this subject further as a director, through his first fiction
film “Wind, talk to me”.
